Supplier location, cargo-ready date, loading conditions and consolidation requirements.
Door-to-door freight forwarding from China
One accountable freight plan from your China supplier to the receiving point that matters: a warehouse, 3PL, store or business address.
Start with the delivery outcome
Buyers use door-to-door when the final delivery cannot be left to chance. The question is not just how the cargo leaves China. It is whether the consignee can receive it, the import side is ready and the final delivery can happen on the agreed terms.

The last mile defines the plan
Many avoidable surprises happen after the main freight arrives: the warehouse needs an appointment, the receiver cannot unload the vehicle, the importer is not confirmed or the delivery address has access limits. We identify those points before cargo is booked.
Send these details with your cargo information. We will flag the delivery assumptions that need to be confirmed before you book.
Price the delivery promise, not just the transport
Two quotes can both say “door-to-door” and still cover different work. A useful comparison shows the cost and responsibility at every handoff.
Supplier location, cargo-ready date, loading conditions and consolidation requirements.
Sea, air or rail pricing based on equipment, chargeable weight, route and deadline.
Arrival handling, release coordination and the agreed customs or broker interface.
Postcode, appointment, vehicle type, unloading and receiver requirements.
Buyer’s check: a lower headline rate is only useful when the receiver, import side and delivery requirements are priced on the same basis. Ask what happens if a supplier date, cargo size or delivery condition changes.
Your deadline is more than transit time
A realistic delivery window runs from cargo-ready date through pickup, carrier cutoff, main carriage, release and the receiver’s available appointment.
Air
5-12 daysFor launches, replacement stock, samples or a fixed commercial deadline where a stockout costs more than the freight.
Choose speed when the deadline is the riskRail
18-35 daysFor suitable China-Europe and Eurasian replenishment when you need a more balanced lead time and budget.
Choose balance when both time and cost matterSea
30-55+ daysFor planned FCL or LCL inventory with enough runway for ocean schedules, release and final delivery.
Choose sea when the inventory plan has timeThe ranges are planning guides, not booking promises. Supplier readiness, carrier space, customs release and appointment availability can all move the final date.
Do not use the two terms as if they mean the same thing
Door-to-door describes how the cargo is coordinated to the final address. DDP describes who is responsible for import-side duty, tax and formalities.
Door-to-Door
Pickup, international movement and final delivery are planned as one chain, while the buyer or its broker may still manage import responsibility.
DDP
DDP means the seller takes the agreed import-side responsibility. That requires a verified tax, compliance and clearance arrangement before the cargo moves.
A quote should remove uncertainty, not create it
Before you approve a booking, you should be able to see what we coordinate, what the receiver must prepare and what remains subject to destination confirmation.
Supplier contact, cargo-ready date, collection address, packing and handoff instructions.
Export handling and the agreed sea, air or rail service matched to the cargo and deadline.
The agreed interface for arrival, documents, broker coordination and local release.
Named address, receiving contact, appointment, access and unloading assumptions.
The decisions happen before cargo moves
A shipment is not simply handed from one carrier to another. The key job is to validate every handoff before it becomes a delay or an unexpected cost.
Confirm cargo, supplier, Incoterm, importer, receiving point and the agreed commercial scope.
Align cargo-ready date, pickup instruction, packaging, labels and origin export requirements.
Reserve the selected service and manage milestones against the agreed shipment plan.
Coordinate destination release and final delivery against the receiver’s confirmed conditions.
Questions that prevent expensive assumptions
The best answer depends on your cargo, consignee, country and delivery conditions. These are the questions worth settling early.
Often yes, provided we receive the correct address, receiving contact, appointment process, dock requirements, pallet rules and any labels or paperwork required by that facility.
Confirm who will receive the freight, whether a dock or forklift is available, the permitted vehicle type, delivery hours and whether a booking is required. These details affect feasibility as well as price.
That depends on the destination, product and agreed Incoterm. Door-to-door coordination does not automatically mean the freight provider is the importer of record.
Not automatically. Their treatment depends on product classification, value, importer, destination rules and the commercial terms confirmed for the shipment.
Often yes. We assess pickup locations, cargo-ready dates, product compatibility and whether consolidation improves the delivery plan or adds avoidable time and handling.
Insurance and special handling may be available, but they need to be discussed before booking. Share the product, packing, declared value and any technical or safety documents early.
Tell us as early as possible. Carrier space, rate validity, destination release and delivery appointments may need to be revalidated against the changed facts.
Start with the facts that decide delivery
Send the product, pickup city, cargo size, ready date, country, postcode and receiving setup. We will return a practical door-to-door plan before you commit to a booking.
